Quilt Block Series – 3 – Irish Chain

Here’s the third of our quilt block series. This one is an Irish Chain block. I love this! It looks stunning when complete and isn’t as hard as it first appears. This block is definitely one that makes a stunning full quilt. The chains all come together to form what looks to be such an intricate quilt.

I used just two different fabrics, so I cut eight 2.5 x 2.5 inch squares and one 4.5 x 4.5” square from the first fabric, and from fabric two I cut four 2.5 x 8.5 inch rectangles and four 2.5 x 4.5 inch rectangles.
